Metallica新专辑热销 上市三天售出近50万张

在上张录音室专辑《St.Anger》面世五年之后，美国著名重金属乐团Metallica(听歌)终于发行了他们的全新专辑《Death Magnetic》。据Nielsen SoundScan统计，在美国唱片市场上市仅仅三天内，这张《Death Magnetic》就一共售出了近50万张，这个成绩足以确保这张专辑获得下周Billboard 200专辑榜的冠军。
由于不是在常规发行日发行，因此，这张《Death Magnetic》统计出的所谓首周销量只是面世前三天以内的销量。即便如此，《Death Magnetic》也已经是美国唱片市场近五周内销量最高的专辑了，之前，美国当红流行偶像乔纳斯兄弟(The Jonas Brothers(听歌))的第三张专辑《A Little Bit Longer》夺得Billboard 200专辑榜冠军的销量成绩为52万5千张。
作为Metallica加盟Warner Bros.厂牌的首张专辑，《Death Magnetic》上市首周的销量轻松超越了他们在Elektra厂牌发行的最后一张专辑《St.Anger》。2003年6月，在非常规发行日面市的《St.Anger》在大概半周时间内一共卖出了41万8千张。
Metallica上一张首周销量超过《Death Magnetic》的专辑还是1996年的《Load》，上市首周共售出了68万张，同样轻松的在Billboard 200专辑榜当中问鼎。
